Ohingaiti Makohine Realignment
TRW 1684 SH 1 Ohingaiti - Makohine Realignment.
This was a substantial roading project located on SH1 at Ohingaiti approx. 25km south of Taihape.
The job was completed on time by May 2011.
The work included 4.5kms of new road with a Corrugated Steel Arch underpass for the Railway and a new bridge near the Makohine viaduct.
The fill for the underpass and approaches for the new road bridge was sourced from the 40m deep cut in the papa and gravels on site.
