Mangamako Road Realignment

MDC 09/12 Mangamako Road.

This is a small realignment of Mangamako Road to protect the integrity of the road.  Since February 2004 the road has been eroded by the river to the point of being unsafe.

The job is approximately 10kms inland from Ohingaiti.

This job has a 20m high cut on the inside edge of the bend and approx 11000m3 of material has been removed from site.

This batter cut has been achieved with a combination of precise setout of the top of the batter and
the 2D system fitted to our 20 ton Excavator.

The pavement part of this job will be completed using our grader with a 3D system.
